He has conducted environmental and socioeconomic impact assessments and linear corridor studies for power generation facilities, transportation infrastructure projects, and defense establishments. High profile assignments have included participation in the Five-year Review of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, public hearings for the Environmental Management Plan for the Confederation Bridge for Straits Crossing Inc., participation in the Spicer Commission, and national consultations for the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development. |
Mr. Paynter is currently the facilitator for the Wage Gap Round Table for the Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, the Chair of the Ministerial Committee responsible for the Review of Aquaculture Exclusion Zones in the Bay of Fundy, the mediator for property valuation disputes related to the Trans Canada Highway, the facilitator for the Petitcodiac River Causeway EIA, the director and financial analyst for several tourism studies, the socioeconomic analyst for the Sakhalin I oil and gas development, and the director for the preparation of the strategic plan for the Office of the Auditor General. |
